Three months ago I started my little blog. My purpose was to take creative risks, through writing and reflection, becoming a better version of myself in the process. I hoped my personal journey would inspire others in some small way.
This evening I re-read my very first blog post, and the comments as well. I was a bit surprised at how much I have grown since that initial writing. I skipped through my blog, reading other random posts and the related comments and felt proud of my work. It’s far from perfect, but perfection was never part of the plan. My plan was to take chances, big risks for me, and I have done that. The rewards have been greater than I imagined, beautiful and unexpected.
When I talk with friends about my blog, it’s difficult for me to articulate the beauty of this experience. The public and private messages I receive of encouragement, compassion, and love inspire me to continue on this journey. I am honored that people trust me with their personal stories and shared experiences.
While I am thankful every day to you, the readers who keep my blog alive, on this Thanksgiving holiday, I do want to express my gratitude for the positive impact you have made in my life. Every aspect of my life has improved as a result of the connections I have made through my writing.
Family, old friends, new friends, and fellow bloggers, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for taking an interest in my life and my stories, and encouraging me along the way. Every time you like, share or comment on a post, you are telling me to keep on going. . . and I will. . . for as long as anyone will listen.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you!!
