Bio: I am a sister, mother, nonna and loyal friend. I am most proud of these relationships. They are my greatest accomplishment. I recently took a leave from a 20 year career in education, the last 14 as a school administrator. I sold everything I owned and moved to Italy to write and have a little adventure. I write this blog, am a regular contributor to a lovely little magazine called Holl and Lane, and I'm working on a book, the story of me or someone a lot like me. Since I am not getting any younger, and there is just this one life to live, now seemed like a good time to make a change. I love writing and the process. It has helped me organize my thoughts and work through some pretty tough life lessons. It was writing that gave me the courage to change my life for the better. I encourage everyone to tell and share their stories. It's the only way we can find our way back to each other. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

    I think my clumsy and ignorant side actually hit a wrong button in replying to the gracious comment you left about my crayon story. I tried to reply as I was driving down the road and now I don’t know what happened. I said that I was grinning and thank you so much.     I loved the story about your father! I too enjoyed a unique relationship with both my parents who are no longer with us. My blog pays tribute to my love for them through a few short stories. You may enjoy “In the Company of Women” written for my father and “Whisked Away” in honor of my mother.
